About Devesh North Indian Casket

Devesh North Indian Casket is the only registered North Indian Casket company in Singapore since 2018. In 2007, when my late father passed away, my family engaged a South Indian Casket company to arrange for the funeral service. This is because there were no North Indian Casket companies in Singapore at that time. We had to arrange our own North Indian priest for the rituals both at home and at Mandai Crematorium. Furthermore, we had to buy a long list of items for the funeral rites, run errands and at the same time, conduct the final rites for my late father. I hardly had the time to mourn the death of my father. I realised that family members should not be engaged in these miscellaneous errands but mourn and spend time with their loved one. Someone should be present to take care of all the other arrangements. Hence, I went to Varanasi (India) for two months to study and observe the rituals, rites, dos and don’ts for Hindu funerals.
In 2018, I started Devesh North Indian Casket with the support of a South Indian funeral company. Eventually, I started to provide South Indian funeral services in 2019 and since then, I have been involved in both North and South Indian funeral cases. My main objective is to do ‘Seva’ meaning ‘Service’ – during the family’s difficult time. With my service, the family will be provided with the complete package and our upmost support throughout the entire funeral. They will not have to worry about anything else and are assured that nothing but the best service will be delivered.
